39% Say George Washington Greatest Founding Father

Thirty-nine percent (39%) of Americans say that George Washington is the greatest of the nation’s Founding Fathers. A Rasmussen Reports survey of 1,000 adults found that 26% named Thomas Jefferson as the greatest of the Founders while 21% preferred Benjamin Franklin.

Is it appropriate for gay and lesbian church members to serve as pastors and bishops in a Christian Church? Two thirds (67%) of those who attend Church weekly say no. Just 27% of those faithful worshippers say yes.

Seventy-seven percent (77%) of likely voters across the country agree that displaying a photo ID should be required to cast a vote. Democrats and liberals are a bit less likely to agree than members of other groups identified in our survey.
